Why fly to the south when you can feel like you're in Greece even in Munich? King Ludwig I. fulfilled his dream of "Isar-Athens" especially at the Königsplatz. After this wonderful place was misused by the National Socialists as a backdrop for marches and book-burnings, it is now surrounded by art and culture, educational institutions and savoir-vivre.
