BMW Welt

A masterpiece of modern architecture

Vehicle manufacturer BMW’s very own experience and delivery centre has been known to deliver up to 34,000 horsepower in one day.

Since it opened in 2007, the building that houses the BMW Welt attraction has formed the architectural link between the nearby Olympiapark opposite and the neighbouring BMW Group plant, the BMW Four Cylinder and the BMW Museum, where historical cars, motorbikes and engines, but also future developments of the car manufacturer are presented in a permanent exhibition and regular temporary exhibitions.

The futuristic façade of glass and steel and the characteristic double cone of the BMW Welt were designed by the architects Coop Himmelb(l)au. Behind it are BMW's world of experience and delivery centre. Guests are invited to explore the exhibitions (which feature models from all BMW Group brands) at their own leisure or as part of a group tour. Admission is free.

The bridge inside the building offers a view over an area known as “Premiere”, the point where customers meet their new cars for the first time.

With the FUTURE FORUM, BMW Welt has opened a platform where experts from various industries and disciplines share their visions of the future with interested visitors. For families with children there is another attraction, the Junior Campus. In addition to interactive workshops on the topic of "City and Mobility of the Future", BMW Welt also offers a digital children's programme as part of the Junior Campus.

Additionally BMW Welt holds events for the entire family all year round and also houses a stage for cultural events, such as the BMW Welt Jazz Award, lectures, concerts and streaming events.

The park’s culinary offerings include a two-star restaurant - the EssZimmer by Käfer, the Bavarie Brasserie, the Bistro CooperS and the Bikers Lodge. For souvenirs and gifts visit the lifestyle and accessories shop at BMW Welt.
