But it is not only the architecture that makes the home stadium of soccer club FC Bayern München a real landmark in Munich, it is above all the wide range of possibilities it offers. The Allianz Arena inspires with flexibility for any MICE event: group sizes from eight to 2180 people can be accommodated perfectly. Large rooms, small lounges and even the players' cabins are available. The FC Bayern Museum is also an event location of a special kind.
The Showpalast München is a modern and extraordinary event location. The unique architecture and the play of light and water in the outdoor area of the building captivates visitors even before they enter. The bright, spacious and light-flooded foyer can accommodate up to 900 people before the doors open to the amphitheatre, which is equipped with a 600-square-metre LED stage back wall and 1,700 seats. The interplay of LED projections as well as stage depth enables the realisation of breathtaking events and shows of all kinds.
The Park Café in the heart of Munich has been a legendary address since the 1980s. The restaurant with its impressive bar harbours a very special secret: at first glance, the huge shelf behind the central cocktail bar only shows off the bottles. But as if by magic, this colossus can move upwards, creating a twelve-square-metre stage. Speakers or bands are guaranteed a surprise effect when they perform here.
With its diverse offerings and deliberate focus on sustainability, the Werksviertel-Mitte is unique and a model for future urban development projects. Here, life, work, entertainment, art and culture merge into an urban togetherness. The Container Collective, which consists of original shipping containers and is also the entrance to the quarter, is only a five-minute walk from the Ostbahnhof. The area's accommodation facilities offer meeting and conference rooms with state-of-the-art technology. And for the MICE supporting programme, there is a wide range of culinary and cultural offerings in the quarter. The Deutsches Theater is the musical house of the city of Munich. In addition to a visit to the theatre, the traditional Munich theatre also offers possibilities for special events. For example, the magnificent Silver Hall with its ceiling frescoes, which is still preserved in its original form from 1896, is suitable for a banquet evening in a stylish atmosphere. The theatre hall can be transformed into a large ballroom where a wide variety of events can take place.
For events with an authentic Bavarian flair, the offers from "Von Alm das Beste" are suitable. The concept is traditional-modern and above all: flexible. In the middle of Munich, on the grounds of the Riem racecourse, there is a 1,000-square-metre alpine hut with a terrace. Thanks to the flexible room concept, events for groups of 80 to 1,000 people can be organised in the hut. Those who prefer to be at a different site in a hut can book a mobile Alm hut, which can be set up at almost any location in up to three days.
Conferences, parties or meetings under palm trees - that's also possible in Munich. The Botanikum, a classic garden centre in the north-west of Munich, is a unique art biotope, a green event location with a Mediterranean flair. The Palmenhaus is suitable for smaller events and seminars with 30 to 100 guests. The Theatre House is a light-flooded glass house with many green plants for 100 to 250 people. In the warmer months, the Grass House, which is open on one side, can also be booked. The Botanikum also creates plant decorations for trade fairs and other events.
After a long day of meetings, enjoy the evening in the fresh air at a rooftop bar. That doesn't just sound nice, it's usually a particularly nice way to end the day - especially on warm summer nights. Many rooftop bars in Munich offer a view not only over the city centre, but also into the mountains. At the historic Viktualienmarkt, for example, you will find the Louis Hotel, a house with different Munich building traditions and individual design. The Louis Roof Terrace is one of the highlights of the design hotel, which you can also rent exclusively. Snacks and drinks are served here even in winter.
The 15th floor Rooftop Terrace of the FITZROY Modern Australian Kitchen & Bar in the Adina Hotel Munich offers an open view to the south. Here, guests enjoy drinks and snacks from the bar below on lounge furniture and to relaxed beats.
On the upper floors of the Medienbrücke in the Werksviertel-Mitte you will find the "absolutely upside east" with its 150 square metre roof terrace. 45 metres above the ground, you can start the evening with an aperitif or end it with a BBQ overlooking the nearby mountains.
The Mandarin Oriental Hotel also has a roof garden. The Mahjong Roof Garden has a champagne bar and a cosy lounge area - and a view over the twin towers of Munich's Frauenkirche. In winter, there are two glass domes under which either eight or twelve guests can dine with a view into the stars.
The rooftop terraces of the Ruby Lilly and Ruby Rosi hotels are in 7th heaven: in the morning you might start the day with a yoga session, in the afternoon you can chill out in a beanbag chair and in the evening you enjoy the sunset with a drink in your hand.

Bavarian cuisine can be unique in very different ways. The Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Starnberg is home to the only Michelin star restaurant in the Starnberg-Ammersee region. It becomes particularly exclusive when the Michelin star chef himself prepares an individual menu during live cooking for groups of seven or more in the Sissi event suite.
The Hilton Munich Airport with chef Stefan Barnhusen also has a Michelin star: the excellent cuisine of the Mountain Hub Gourmet combines cooking traditions from the foothills of the Alps with international ingredients and cooking techniques.
The Schreiberei houses two restaurant concepts under one roof: the 2-star restaurant "Tohru" is located on the first floor while on the ground floor dishes are served to share from French cuisine with Italian temperament, Spanish fire and Japanese precision.
In a cosy atmosphere, up to 180 people can be provided with Bavarian delicacies in the modern-rustic mountain hut of the Leonardo Royal Munich until the end of February 2023. The dishes are served in large family-style bowls.
The mountain chalet at the Paulaner on the Nockherberg is also open until February. And at the Nockherberg, too, the traditional dishes are served in bowls and pans. There is room for 30 to 60 people.
The location of Beyond by Geisel is unsurpassed in exclusivity: Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Viktualienmarkt - everything is right on the doorstep. The hosts of the small hotel take care of all wishes; even before arrival, guests are contacted and asked about their personal requests. As "Munich's largest suite", the Beyond can also be booked in its entirety, making it an ideal location for meetings or product presentations.

Get out of the city and up the mountain. That's very easy in Munich. For example, it only takes an hour by car to reach the idyllically situated Tegernsee at the foot of the Wallberg. Here, at over 1,500 metres, lies the Berghotel Altes Wallberghaus, the alpine outpost of the Spa & Resort Bachmair Weissach. In the Wallberghaus high above Lake Tegernsee, you can experience purist hut romance for special occasions, small meetings or incentives - and even stay overnight in single, double or four-bed rooms.
The BMW Driving Experience is all about driving. Driving at the limit. Car enthusiasts can test and improve their driving skills here. There is a variety of training options both in summer and in winter on ice and snow.
