The highlight of the sporting year in Munich will be the four UEFA EURO 2020 matches, which will be played in Munich as the only German host city. The world of music will be marked by the memorial year in honour of the composer Carl Orff, whose 125th birthday is being celebrated in 2020. The opening of MOTORWORLD Munich, a unique venue with automotive flair, and the AMERON Hotel Motorworld is planned for 2020. The Science Congress Center Munich on the TUM Campus Garching is expected to be available as a new event location from the beginning of 2020.
