The dropping off and picking up of passengers is not permitted around the Oktoberfest. For this purpose, various bus parking areas in Munich are available for tour bus operators. You can also find the right motorhome parking place for your visit to the Wiesn here.

During Oktoberfest, a large restricted area is in effect around the Theresienwiese (Oktoberfest fairground). Tour buses are generally not permitted to enter this area; dropping off and picking up passengers around the festival grounds is also prohibited. Please be sure to follow the current traffic regulations and the traffic plan for Oktoberfest 2026.

The ring consists of the following streets:

The police do not tolerate buses in this area!
Before you arrive, please check directly with the respective campground regarding availability and reservation options. Due to high demand during Oktoberfest, we recommend making your reservation well in advance. There are no RV sites available directly at Theresienwiese (with the exception of Oktoberfest-Camping-Riem). Even if it is not possible to set up your own caravan directly next to the fairground, you can arrive well with your own sleeping mobile. Special parking lots and campgrounds with good connections to the Oktoberfest via public transport can be found in various districts of Munich.
