Standing in front of a huge painting is always a special experience. But what if it suddenly starts moving and comes to life with sound effects? Immersive exhibitions invite visitors to experience art and culture through multimedia, while interactive museums allow them to actively engage with the displays. An overview.

The exhibition takes an in-depth look at the final years of Vincent van Gogh's life — a period marked by inner turmoil, passionate creativity and impressive letters. In an impressively staged environment, his masterpieces are reinterpreted through projections, music and movement. The result is not a classic museum tour, but a multi-sensory experience in which colours, sounds and words merge to provide immediate access to Van Gogh's soul.
Van Gogh Up Close, Heßstraße 132 (at Utopia)
Bavaria is turned on its head - because this museum is an upside-down world of experience. The idea behind it is to turn all the motifs upside down in order to create surprises and illusions. By travelling through the highlights of Munich and Bavaria, adults as well as children and young people can get to know the museum concept from a completely new perspective. ‘Magic Bavaria’ invites visitors to join in and try things out - with the city's largest ball pool, 30 interactive photo spots and magical illusions. You can also discover local art from Bavaria and exciting fun facts! Such as: Who actually invented the pretzel?
