Climbing and Bouldering Centre

Bouldering mecca in the west of Munich

On the outskirts of the city, you will find one of Germany’s top climbing facilities. The Kletter- und Boulderzentrum München-West in Gilching (DAV Climbing and Bouldering Centre Munich West) is a real treat for bouldering fans.

In dry weather, you can let off steam in the great outdoors at the realistic, cliff-style bouldering area, a unique facility stretching over 400 m2. The facility was inspired by Europe’s bouldering Mecca, Fontainebleau in France. Indoors, there is a further 350 m2 of bouldering routes for all difficulty levels - just waiting to be tackled.

The climbing facility’s walls are equipped with all mod cons and cater to a wide array of climbing styles, such as crack climbing, overhangs, roof climbing as well as vertical and sloping routes for all difficulty levels over an area of 1950 m2.

If you need to recharge your batteries in between or after a climb, then the cosy bistro is the ideal place to do so. You can even sit outside and watch the other climbers in action in the bouldering area.

Equipment is available to hire.
