Spreading joy, celebrating culture and raising awareness for the environment and social equality are all on the agenda at this Munich festival.

Tollwood Winterfestival 2026 – the festival and its opening hours

During the Christmas season, from November 24 to December 23, 2026 (New Year's Eve party on December 31), Winter Tollwood invites you to a colorful mix of artistry and concerts, arts and crafts and culinary delights on the Theresienwiese. When it gets dark, the colorful glowing tent roofs and glittering sculptures point the way to the festival grounds from afar. “Now more than ever!” was the motto of the 2025 Winter Festival, reflecting its commitment to peace, democracy and environmental protection.

The first programme highlights for 2026 have already been confirmed: acts announced for the Grand Chapiteau include the Australian company Gravity & Other Myths with “Ten Thousand Hours”, Lewis Major with “Triptych”, and Galapiat Cirque with “Mad in Finland”.

Stroll, browse, discover and enjoy at the “Market of Ideas“ with handicrafts and certified organic food from all over the world. Admission to the festival grounds with the “Market of Ideas“ is free of charge.
