High up on the fifth floor, Café Glockenspiel affords fabulous views over Munich’s famous landmarks on Marienplatz.
Guests at Café Glockenspiel are spoilt for choice when it comes to picking a view. The café is actually split into two areas: the restaurant offers wonderful views over Marienplatz square and the Glockenspiel in the Neues Rathaus (New Town Hall).
The rear section of the café has a bar and conservatory area and opens out onto a peaceful inner courtyard. In nice weather, you can even sit outside and enjoy the sunshine. The roof terrace provides a direct view of Alter Peter, the tower of Munich’s oldest church.
As you can imagine, it can be hard to secure a seat here – if you want to make sure you get a table with a view, book in advance.
Hotels and accommodation establishments, shops, indoor and outdoor catering, and also clubs and discos are open. However, restrictions apply. All other important information on the coronavirus and your stay in Munich can be found here.
