Munich – Third Reich Tour

National Socialism and Resistance: Munich played a special role in the Third Reich. On this city tour you will get to know the most important places of that time and their stories.

The walk will take you to a lot of historical places in Munich: It starts at Königsplatz on to Karolinenplatz, Brienner Strasse, Platz der Opfer des Nationalsozialismus (Plaza dedicated to the victims of National Socialism) with memorial to the Feldherrnhalle (Field Marshals’ Hall), through Hofgarten to Haus der Kunst art gallery and ends at the university. On this guided tour you will learn about the role all these places played during the National Socialist era.

Afterwards you will have the opportunity to visit the permanent exhibition "The White Rose. Resistance to the Nazi dictatorship" in the White Rose Memorial at the atrium of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.

 

Meeting Point: In front of the Tourist Information at the New Town Hall at Marienplatz (10 minutes before the start of your tour)

The city guide "simply Munich" and the city map are available upon presentation of the booking confirmation at the Tourist Information at Marienplatz or at the main station. There you can also buy tickets. This tour can also be booked as a group tour.
