On the Grand Circle Sightseeing Tour you can explore the most beautiful sights of the Bavarian capital for 48 hours in a double-decker bus. You can get on and off the bus at any of eleven stops and discover Munich at your leisure.
The tour first takes you to the world-famous Marienplatz, from where you have a great view of the city's most important landmarks - the New Town Hall and the Frauenkirche. Not far from Munich's Marienplatz is also the Hofbräuhaus and the Viktualienmarkt. The 200-year-old market in the heart of the old town still invites you to sample, shop and discover. Also not to be missed in the city centre are the National Theatre and Karlsplatz-Stachus.
Then it's on to the Kunstareal - 500 years of art and cultural history can be experienced here. There are 18 museums and exhibition halls, over 40 galleries, six universities and numerous cultural institutions on an area of just 500 square metres. Such as the world-famous Pinakotheken, the Lenbachhaus or the Haus der Kunst, where just around the corner the Eisbach surfers show their skills on a standing wave. The bus leaves Maxvorstadt and heads to Odeonsplatz with its impressive Feldherrnhalle and the Theatinerkirche. And of course, the former bohemian district of Schwabing is not to be missed.
Since you have enough time on the 48h Grand Circle Tour, it also gives you the chance to discover stops outside the city centre. For example, you can explore the baroque Nymphenburg Palace in Neuhausen - the 180-hectare complex with its palace park is the second largest green space in Munich - or the Olympic Park with BMW World. The park has just celebrated its 50th anniversary, but in the same year it also showed with the European Championships that it is just as capable of hosting modern sporting events.
You don't have quite so much time for your Munich explorations?
The little tour around the city centre is enough for you?
