Munich people looking at pictures

A personal interpretation of famous pictures from Munich’s museums

“Munich people looking at pictures” is the name of a series in which young Munich personalities take a closer look at some famous pictures and paintings in Munich’s museums, including works by Max Beckmann, Pieter Bruegel, Alexej von Jawlensky and Jean-Michel Basquiat. Each one looks closely at one piece of art, immerses themselves in the mood of the picture and discovers every tiny detail in the process – and then they describe it all in their own words. Read here their personal interpretations of pieces by famous artists.
