Music fans can look forward to numerous concerts in 2025/2026! Global stars such as Simply Red, Rod Stewart, Linkin Park and Helene Fischer are coming to the city. We are also looking forward to numerous open airs and small concerts in Munich's venues.
Music fans are well catered for in Munich. This year's highlights include concerts by Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart and Sting. As the Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) is expected to be closed for two years from October due to renovation work, the city's major concerts will be moved to the Allianz Arena from then on. This is why the Linkin Park and Helene Fischer concerts in the Allianz Arena will be among the highlights in 2026.
The Tollwood summer festival will also have a lot to offer musically: rock legend Patti Smith will enter the music arena at the festival. Incidentally, this year's motto is: ‘Courage and action’ - an appeal to get involved in these uncertain times for a future worth living.
A whole host of top acts are coming to the Olympiastadion and the Olympiahalle this year. Tickets for the concerts are available on the website of the Olympic Park or the Tollwood Summer Festival.

The Teatron MusikSommer will also be back with many great artists and up-and-coming talents on the stage at the Olympic Lake. During August, the festival will make every music fan's heart beat faster.And admission is free!
The free&easy 2025 at the Backstage culture and event center is also particularly diverse and free of charge. Concerts, parties, cabaret, politics and much more will take place on three indoor stages, an outdoor stage and the open spaces of the Backstage for 18 days. More details coming soon.
Other popular music venues where concerts take place in a smaller and more intimate setting throughout the summer include the Muffatwerk with the Ampere and the cultural interim use of the Gasteig, the “Fat Cat“.
The many music events in the summer concert season certainly contribute to the Munich summer feeling that the Spider Murphy Gang so aptly sang about in the 1980s. But there are also many other events in the summer months of June, July and August that allow us to enjoy the summer in Munich to the full.
