Germany's largest design event takes place every year in Munich. It includes around 200 events, most of which are free of charge and open for anyone to attend. MCBW will take place in Munich this year from May 4 to 10, 2026.
Germany’s largest design event takes place every year in Munich: from 4 to 10 May 2026, the 15th munich creative business week (mcbw) invites visitors to Munich under the motto “Playground of Possibilities”. Across the city, visitors can look forward to a diverse programme featuring events organised by companies, agencies, brands and creatives, as well as installations, exhibitions, workshops and other formats.
A particular highlight is the Design Summit on 4 May 2026 at Munich Urban Colab. The all-day conference brings together designers and thought leaders from around the world. International speakers will shed light on current trends, visionary ideas and interdisciplinary design perspectives relating to the annual theme.
The central meeting point is the mcbw hub at the Ruffinihaus on Rindermarkt. This is where the official information point is located; in addition, in 2026 the hub will become a Design Shop for the first time, featuring a curated selection of regional design pieces.
No general ticket is required to visit the mcbw itself. However, prior registration or a ticket may be required for individual talks, workshops, city walks or exhibitions.
It is also worth noting that many events, such as the Design Talk or the ProGlove evening event, will take place in English, meaning that Munich Creative Business Week will once again showcase its international side this year.
