Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW)

The largest design event in Germany

Germany's largest design event takes place every year in Munich. It includes around 200 events, most of which are free of charge and open for anyone to attend.

MCBW, with its 60 creative spots throughout the city and over 60,000 visitors, is a fixed event in the calendar for the most important pioneers and artists, but also up-and-coming creative talents on the international design scene. Many of them also attend exhibitions, conferences, workshops and tours given by companies in Munich.

The motto "Design connects" is a guiding principle and it is put into practice over the course of a whole week in Munich. What makes the MCBW particularly attractive is that it has a different theme each year, based on societal trends and discussions. MCBW has now been around for ten years - and the design event will also take place in 2021, at least digitally. With all kinds of workshops, conferences, virtual exhibitions and streams on the theme of "Shaping futures by Design".

The City of Munich is also affected by the nationwide measures to contain the coronavirus. Hotels and accommodation establishments, indoor and outdoor gastronomy and shops are open. But there are some restrictions. All other important information about the coronavirus and your stay in Munich can be found here.
