The neo-gothic Munich Town Hall offers much more than the world-famous Glockenspiel. This tour, which lasts around 90 minutes, will take you through its grand rooms and to the building’s balcony, the backdrop for FC Bayern’s championship celebrations. The route will also take you through the reading room at the Law Library, which has been used as a setting for films such as the musical “Cabaret” with Liza Minelli and the Gernan kid’s adventure film “Bibi Blocksberg”.

During the tour, you will learn about the history of the Town Hall and the stories behind some of the city’s historical figures who adorn the Neue Rathaus’ façade.

This offer also includes a trip to the town hall tower, from where you definitely have one of the most beautiful views over Munich. So you don't have to buy another ticket at the Tourist Information and will enjoy both attractions in a very relaxed way.

In just a few moments you are 85 metres high with the elevator and you can see a different highlight of the city in every direction: directly opposite stands the Alter Peter (church), on one side of the tower is the Frauenkirche (church), on the other the Altes Rathaus (old town hall) and to the north stands the Italian-looking Theatinerkirche (church). And if the weather is good, the impressive Alpine chain stretches across the entire horizon to the south.

You can also book the guided tour through the New Town Hall or the tower drive-up individually.

Or you can give the gift of a voucher for the tour of the New Town Hall and visit of the Tower.

Also interesting: Here's a report from our author we sent to a city hall tour – she felt a bit like being in a Harry Potter movie and was pretty excited.
