Overview

What to expect on your weekend

Friday: design hotel, old town, bavarian delicacies

Not far from Theresienwiese, the design hotel BOLD Zentrum in Ludwigsvorstadt welcomes you. Every year the Theresienwiese is the venue for the world's largest public festival: the Oktoberfest, a real Munich original. From your hotel you can reach the Marienplatz in only about five minutes by car. Public transport is already included for you with the Munich Card!

Arrived in the historic old town, another Munich original awaits you just around the corner from the Neues Rathaus (town hall) on Marienplatz: In one of the oldest town houses in Munich you will find the restaurant "Hofer. Der Stadtwirt", which is characterized by tradition and cordiality. Here fresh spreads and an aperitif are waiting for you before you can enjoy real delicacies: Roast ox, roast pork, fried chicken or rather cheese noodles - you are spoilt for choice!

Saturday: Allianz Arena, FC Bayern, Nockherberg, beer tour

Saturday begins after a substantial breakfast with a guided tour of the Allianz Arena and a visit to the FC Bayern Museum. Here you will take a look behind the scenes of Europe's most modern soccer stadium and embark on an impressive journey through time from the foundation of the German record champions to the present day. As the icing on the cake, we have organised a little surprise for you on site. Be curious!

As you may know, it is part of the Bavarian way of life to meet with friends or family in an inn and enjoy the traditional Munich beer. In keeping with our tradition, we will take you to a place steeped in history in the evening: Paulaner am Nockherberg! Beer has been brewed here since 1634 - first by the monks of the monastery, later by the Paulaner brewery. Today a genuine Munich original is brewing here: Master brewer Uli Schindler will guide you through the house brewery and then answer your questions at the regulars' table during the joint 3-course beer menu.

Sunday: traditional white sausage breakfast

What would a visit to Munich be without Weißwurst? Exactly! So before you head back home, we will take you to Marienplatz once again, where you will enjoy a genuine Weißwurst breakfast with sweet mustard and pretzels in Munich's second oldest restaurant, the Donisl. Of course a half beer from the Hacker-Pschorr brewery is also included. Thus fortified, you can now head back home. See you next time!
