The Munich brand

The “simply Munich” brand represents an invitation for travellers to be part of Munich life, and to relax as they enjoy the beautiful aspects of the city.

One thing all Munich fans share is a certain love of the “easygoingness” which makes it possible to move seamlessly from the enjoyment of Munich culture, to embracing the culture of enjoyment – whether by heading to the Hofbräuhaus after the opera, or relaxing on the nearby riverbanks in the Englischer Garten after taking in an exhibition at the Haus der Kunst art gallery.

“simply Munich” is the slogan used in tourist communications about Munich as a travel destination. It embodies – in a concise, memorable manner – the aplomb with which the Bavarian capital presents its outstanding offerings when it comes to the culture of enjoyment and the enjoyment of culture. “simply Munich” captures the hospitality visitors to Munich experience, and how effortlessly they can dive into the life of the city. “simply Munich” expresses the opportunities to discover and enjoy the beautiful and relaxing aspects of the city without complication.

Video: simply brand

“simply Munich” was developed in 2013 for the positioning of the Munich brand with the new image. The brand can be used not only by official sources, but also by all Munich companies and service providers that operate in the tourism sector, as well as by München Tourismus partners for the purposes of image advertising. The city’s tourist image includes the logo and a new visual vocabulary. These are also available for use by tourist service providers. In addition to the “simply Munich” logo in English and German, these can also apply to use various photographic images for advertising purposes.
