Day trip: Dachau concentration camp memorial

Remembering the victims of National Socialism: this day trip will lead you to one of the sites of the darkest chapter of German history.

Dachau is the largest city in the surrounding area of Munich with a population of almost 45,000. In 1933, the first concentration camp of the Nazi regime was established here.

After a short tour through the 1200 years old town you will start the guided tour through the concentration camp. You can visit the museum and watch the documentary film about the concentration camp (14 years and older) and then visit the grounds on your own.

Afterwards, the newly designed memorial site at the former "SS-Schießplatz Hebertshausen", approx. two kilometres away, will be approached.

Start: 9.00 a.m., Monday, Thursday & Sunday, 31 March to 31 October
Duration: 6.5 hours
Departure: Central station (in front of department store Karstadt)

The live-moderation on the bus is done by competent tour guides in German and English. An additional audio system on board provides information in the following languages: Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, French.

After successful booking you will receive your tickets automatically by e-mail. Alternatively, tickets can also be bought at the Tourist Information at Marienplatz and at the main train station.

The organizer asks the participants to respect the dignity of the place and to visit it only in appropriate clothing.
