Walking through the Munich Grossmarkthalle is a real experience! Once a week, the city invites with an official guide to a guided tour through the market halls, where goods from all over the world are sold exclusively to traders. With its large selection of regional and exotic food and fresh flowers, the Grossmarkthalle München has been one of the largest in Europe since 1912. Although it is called the "belly" of Munich, traders from Tyrol to Aschaffenburg also shop here every morning – from small fruit traders to large companies such as Dallmayr.
During the guided tour you will not only learn everything about the well-known and unknown delicacies offered in the Grossmarkthalle, but you will also experience the very own rhythm of this place, which is always the first to awaken in Munich. In addition, your guide knows exciting information about the supply of the city, how it once was and what it could look like in the future. On top there is all sorts of curious knowledge, like about one of the last functioning paternoster in Munich.
