The former headquarters of the National Socialist German Worker’s Party on Königsplatz in Munich is now home to the city’s documentation centre for the history of National Socialism.
The centre for learning and remembrance encourages visitors to take a deeper look at Munich’s national socialist past and the consequences of its dictatorship in the building’s historic surroundings.
The permanent exhibition “Munich and National Socialism” stretches over four floors and contains large-scale images, documents and media installations. A special exhibition space provides a closer look at key themes from the permanent exhibition with a selection of presentations that change several times throughout the year.
The learning centre in the basement contains media stations and provides a place for individuals and groups to take a closer look at the topics covered. The museum also hosts a variety of different events, including talks, films, concerts and more. The NS-Dokumentationszentrum also has its own book shop and café.
