Relax for a while in the beer garden, then rock out to some live music, and later, party in the club: you can do it all at Muffatwerk!
Muffatwerk on the Isar has undergone many changes since 1837: It started life as a pumping station, supplying water to the Haidhausen district; later, it became an electricity plant. Today, it is an international centre of arts and culture. Covering everything from high culture to youth programmes, this cultural hub has an offering that is as varied as its history:
The beer garden lies directly on the Isar cycle path, and has a young, alternative character, as well as holding an organic certification. Classic beer garden specialities are combined with Mediterranean influences and vegetarian dishes.
The Muffathalle is renowned for the very best in live rock, indie and alternative music performances. The regular gigs here include up-and-coming performers as well as established bands and artists.
If you are looking for a dancefloor and a party, Muffatcafé and Ampere is the place for you. Renowned DJs present house, dance, hip hop, world music, or a mixture of everything, depending on the event.
The entire premises also serves as a venue for festivals, theatre, performance art and visual arts. We recommend checking out the current programme.
