On this experience tour you will not only discover the special stalls and rides of the Auer Dult, but you will also be able to taste the delicacies of the historic Munich fair.
No fair is as typical for Munich as the Auer Dult: The historical festival originated on the Jakobidult, which took place for the first time in 1310 at the Anger, today's Sankt-Jakobs-Platz. From 1905 the Dult moved to the Mariahilfplatz in the Au, where it still builds its stalls, rides and delicatessen stalls three times a year. Originally, the Auer Dult was a tableware market, where the people of Munich bought cups, pots and all kinds of useful things for the household - much of that time has remained until today. The antique market and many rides such as the hundred year old Ferris wheel or the pretty chain carousel have been added.
Matching to that there are offered cotton candy, roasted almonds and marzipan, but there are also hearty delicacies such as stockwurst, fried sausages and savoury bread spreads. On this experience tour, you will try out the typical delicacies of the Auer Dult with an official guide from Munich Tourism, get to know the genuine originals among the stand owners and watch product demonstrations for the kitchen and the household in the Innovation Alley.
